Being trained in rope rescue and self rescue, this belt that was delivered to me is made from cast "pot metal". And in my opinion could not be used for self rescue.Also the nylon is much thinner than webbing used for self rescue or from previous original rigger belts.This is great if all you want is to say you have a riggers belt. But this one delivered to me was literally a "Black Ops" Playstation game rip off of the original.

This web belt is the very as the ones military personnel can buy at US military clothing and sales stores. For the money, it is a good purchase. However, do not think if you are in the military you will get away with using this belt! It is not an issued belt or one that is sold to replace the ones that you are issued. So don't think for a second, my military brothers and sisters, that you can wear this belt and get away with it during an inspection. The brass gold colored buckle IS NOT US military issue! I use it for my civilian clothes and wear it with cargo shorts and cargo pants for rucking and diving on my personal time. I DO NOT WEAR THIS IN UNIFORM!!!

The belt arrived and looks exactly like the pic. It also fits EXACTLY like the description. I have recently dropped a few pounds,and went from a 42 to a 40" waist. I ordered the 30-40" size and it is very snug at 40", so be careful if you are at that transition point. I cannot tell you how the next size up would fit at 40" waist line, but im still loosing weight, so i am happy with it. The belt is STURDY. Very well put together. My son advised me that all the firemen at the station had recently purchased the same belt and they were very pleased also. I don't do search and rescue, but occasionally I will go climbing or hiking and this will be my go-to belt for those activities. It looks good, but it is obviously industrial in nature, so i wouldn't use it as a casual-wear belt. I gove it 5 stars because it is EXACTLY what the description said it would be. I am buying 2 more for my sons.

Great build quality. This thing is rugged, yet still comfortable to wear.My only complaint is that it just barely fits through standard belt loops, which is not really a problem. It can be difficult to fasten the long hook and loop between belt loops, so I usually fasten it over a loop after buckling.

Extremely comfy and adjustable! I bought this for a twenty four hour wilderness training class, that was about 50/50 class vs practical. I really loved being able to quickly loosen and tighten the belt for periods of sitting vs moving, but also being able to tell that it wasn't going to come loose unless I specifically did it myself. Good sturdy hardware on the belt makes me feel like this will last a very long time! I won't take any stars off for the lame Call of Duty rip off packaging, since it went right into the trash after getting the belt. Would recommend to anyone interested in a rigger's belt!

I'm a female working in emergency medical services and I'm wearing this belt for the first time tonight. I'm obsessed with it!! So much better than the normal leather belts. I'd rather wear this on a daily basis with my jeans. Would recommend!!

I don’t plan on using it for anything else other than as belt for my pants, so, it works for me. But most importantly, the makers probably wouldn’t have put their name on it if they weren’t sure of the quality. From my standpoint, I concur. This is a man’s belt.
