Monoprice 103844 250ft 12AWG CL2 Rated 2-Conductor Loud Speaker Cable (for In-Wall Installation), White

I've seen a couple of different speaker wires and this one is a really good quality one. The gauge of the wire I got was exactly what was expected. I've seen some companies scamming people by using a thinner wire than the gauge specified on the package. The pvc jacket is nice and firm but relatively easy to strip. Not hard to bend it, although I tried to avoid bending it at 90° angles as much as I could. The ripcord inside is easy to use as well.

Good quality cable. No problem with the spool as mentioned in another review. Spool was solid wood construction.

Needed in wall wiring for my home theater. This stuff fills the bill for not too much money.

This is a quality cable. 12 gauge is perfect for a excellent for my 5.1.4 speaker layout. Cables are fished through the walls for a clean look and this is what the cable is rated for. Remember this is a THICK cable so when routing take that into consideration.

Bought this to wire up a new home theater room in my house. I was running through walls so was looking for some sort of jacketed in wall cable. This fit the bill and was at a price (<$0.50/ft) that was tough to beat. The cable easily pulled through walls and small holes (as small as 5/16" dia in places where I wanted to be discreet).I read some reviews that said it is too stiff or difficult to install to wall plates; that was not my experience. I found it to be only slightly more stiff than non-jacketed speaker wire and as i said the jacket made it easily slide through the walls. I also attached the ends to Monoprice Banana Binding Post wall plates and found it to be plenty flexible for that purpose. The only odd thing I will note is that the black conductor is more difficult to strip than the red....odd, but still not a big deal.Would definitely buy again!

4/2019 Monoprice Access Series 12 Gauge AWG CL2 Rated 2 Conductor Speaker Wire/Cable - 250ftI've purchased falsely labeled wire in past so I always do weighing and counting:Entire spool with wire and cardboard spool = 7.14Kg12" length with both conductors and all insulation = 26.7grams so seems reasonable that there is actually 250' on spool.One conductor stripped of all insulation = 8.7gramsNumber of strands in one conductor = 65 strandsMass of 12" or 30cm of bare conductor (65strands) = 8.7grams or 98% of expected 8.888grams which is well within my scale and measuring precisions.Spools is well constructed of heavy cardboard and plastic.

High quality wire at a great value. Works great for in-wall or is pretty good for interconnect situations as well. I would recommend buying a separate wire striper sized specifically and exclusively for stranded wire. If you see little one-inch strands of copper building up around your worksite, you need to change your stripping tool.

I bought it for wiring up a deck for sound. The electrician seemed impressed with it, so there's that. The staples didn't break the wires and it was very flexible. There were no breaks in any of the stretches.Monoprice seems to have a sizable chunk of their offerings on sale at any time, so it was priced lower than the comptition. If you can get it on sale, it is afforable and works great for in wall cabling.
