Great film if you are a fan of the terminator

I really enjoyed this movie. I think it was the best one I saw that year. The story was straight sci fi. The new vision of the terminator movie has a awesome variety of terminators. They are done from a motorcycle type to a human skeleton type to a huge space ship type. The visuals are very dark sort of like the last 2 alien movies were done. Also I saw the late Stan Winston worked on the movie. I think he did a lot of special effects in the alien movies. I think he did the alien queen in aliens. Anyway the special effect are really well done. I could forget about reality and just watch the screen and go to another place. That is when the special effects are done well. Also the world was well done and you could tell they spent the money to design many sets and have many location to keep the viewer interested. I compare the visuals of the world to that of Alien 3 or Alien Resurection. The music is done well and is very emotional. It was done by Danny Elfman. The acting and story was top notch. It is a story of sacrifice and redemption. The two leads Sam Worthington and Christian Bale were exceptional. Christian Bale is always good at getting you to care for his character. I think he is an actor that can bring out a lot of emotions for the viewer. I thought Sam Worthington was very good at this also in this movie. The woman Moon Bloodgood was good also and believable in her role. Anton Yelchin was also very good in his role. Also this movie had very mild cussing and the violence and content was not trashy or overdone. Which I think the last terminators went overboard on this. Recommended to families to watch with children over 13. I think the parents won't find anything objectionable. If you haven't seen this due to hearing that it wasn't good. Give it a chance. Was a bit confused at first as the product mis-matches with the image displayed. Finally opened the package & satisfied. Played the movie in a 5.1. It delivers DTS 5.1 & 1080p picture as well. Language options are also given where one can select English & Hindi as well as some other options as well.

Thank heavens they where brave enough to break awy from the tired formua of the last 3 movies. Sure the original Terminator was a classic; and the follow-up was a good sequel; but T3 was extremely poor and cheesey but maybe that was partly becuase they were going over the same old ground. What they should of done in T3 was to break away from the old Terminator-sent-back-in-time routine. From now on; when watching the Terminator series of films you should just leave out T3. The actual makers of this 4th movie have even stated that they made this film as a follow-on from film 2; they have completely disregarded the third film ..... as should we; it was that bad and almost ruined the franchise. Terminator 4 then is a refreshing change from the routine. No longer a film from the prespective of the past (our present) they are now telling the story of the future and mans resistance to the machines years after 'Judgement Day'. What is really clever however is that they have also turned the formua in on itself by making the past come to the present although not through any time machine. The action is excellent without getting too over the top. The scenes with the actual early-version terminators are also impressive .... especially since these earlier models being built before Skynet perfected linking living-tissue too machine; making them look almost like zombies or some super-mutant from the Fallout video-games. Honestly, if most people watch this movie with an open mind they will find a film that lives up very well with the first 2 movies and is a lot, lot better than the 3rd. The acting is decent, theres nothing wrong with the script, its not too over-the-top, the characters are interesting and overall this film is an intelligently achieved break from the tired old fomua. Good film.
