I like the thinness of this D'Addario clarinet mouthpiece patch. It is made of high-quality rubber and the adhesive sticks very well. It keeps my front teeth from sliding on the mouthpiece so my embouchure can relax a little. I've been using the "Bay" Thin Clear mpc. patches since 1973! Then switched these for the last few yrs, which are even better! These are a perfect match for shape, size, & even better longevity! These will fit Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bari, Clarinet.1. "Thin Clear" is the Ideal thickness, and allows for ability to "slide" mouthpiece in & out (as desired) for additional dynamic control. The Black is twice as thick, and will lock your teeth in position.2. Unexpected benefits include enhanced sound response & resonance!! This is due to removing the deadening effect of teeth in direct contact of the mouthpiece.

There's nothing else I can say about these, they do what their mean to do, and they do it well. Good, cheap, and great quality, buy this if your looking for something like this!

Got these for my daughter's alto sax mouthpiece to replace a failing/split cushion - fit well and she likes the way it feels on her teeth. The clear color lets it blend with the mouthpiece - hers is jet black but if you have a metal or detailed mouthpiece, this will hide very well once applied. The adhesive seems sufficiently aggressive but not something you couldn't get off/reposition if necessary. The pads themselves were nicely cut from the adhesive blank - clean and crisp.

Adhesive is tight, doesnt mess up any tone quality, easy to apply, only takes a second to get used to and theres no taste! Just make sure that you change them out frequently so they don’t get yucky.

I am impressed. Worth the money. Good quality cushion. It’s nicely thick and lasting me quite awhile before my teeth can penetrate the cushion (which I’m trying not to). My teeth don’t slip nor the cushion off the mouthpiece, I get a nice fine grip. I have been using one cushion for about a month now and still in good shapeUpdate 12/13/21Guys, the same cushion is still in my saxophone after 10 months of use. Still in great shape. A tiny hole is starting to emerge but think that is nothing for a 10 month use(I do play on my saxophone almost everyday)!So I would recommend this product! Go for it

As someone who bites their clarinet, this has been something really helpful since I was using a school clarinet and my teeth was digging into the instrument hard and I didn't know what to do since I didn't wanna learn another way. A section mate had told me about this and I was interested and I searched on amazon and I loved it since I just placed it on their and replace it each month or so but you do have to clean around it because of all the build up from playing it but I still recommend it for people who need something to make sure their teeth don't ruin their clarinet.

Decided to try out the patch and it already felt so much better to play.If you’re wondering if it shifts, the patch doesn’t move when you bite onto it. Just make sure to clean your mouthpiece before applying the patch.
