Can never find these in the hardware stores, but them here and get what you want. Really strong, but pricey.

I'm using this particular fastener to attach two-by-six ceiling joists to roof rafters in an attached garage I'm reframing, and decided these were the perfect length so as not to protrude, while providing exceptional holding power.

Why even bother with other brands. GRK are the best I have used.
They are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I built my second story deck exclusively with GRK structural and framing screws. I enjoy helping family and friends building their outdoor projects but under one condition: If you're using GRK screws? I will help you for free!!! Use any other screws and I will charge for my labor. GRK screws will not slip, saving you time and no headaches.
