The jar is plastic. The only thing i do not know about the product is what type of oil did they add to the product. It tastes good! I have learned pistachio paste has no oils added, but pistachio butters do have some type of oil. Usually almond oil but it does taste good.

Q: Are the Sunflower Seeds definitely dry roasted? Or are they roasted in any oils etc?

This product is delicious. But upon research we found sunflower butters to be very high in "cadmium" which is a poisonous chemical the sunflower contains. This chemical is used in rechargeable batteries. we tossed out all of our sunflower butters, no matter what brand.
