I'm really surprised. When I first opened it up, it looked cheap....but it brushes great. The bristles are soft enough to not hurt the scalp. I was really surprised how good it is even tho it looks and feels kinda cheap. It's a great brush. Wish they offered it in brown tho. Maybe the black makes it look cheaper.

Perfect for brush cuts and waves

Bristles are soft and the brush appears well-made. I have very long hair and it’s somewhat thick, so this brush doesn’t work particularly well for me. But, my fault for ordering the wrong style of brush.

I bought this brush a year ago & have experienced some amazing benefits. As others have said, this brush shouldn't be used as your daily brush to style your hair or comb through tangles because the bristles are too soft & that's not what this brush is intended for. I use this brush for 5-10 minutes at night before I go to bed, mainly because once I'm done using it my hair is oily.PROS: In my personal experience this brush has stimulated hair growth, especially on the top of my scalp; distributed oils evenly throughout my hair; massaged my scalp to stimulate blood flow; decreased dandruff; & produced shinier/healthier hair.CONS: The bristles are soft so for thicker hair it's a bit difficult to use; some of the bristles have fallen out of my brush; the brush needs to be cleaned/washed.TO CLEAN THE BRUSH: Twice a month, I take a large comb & brush through the bristles from different angles to remove lint/hair. In a small basin I add enough water to cover the bristles & a few drops of dish soap which helps remove oils/hair product from the bristles. I dip the bristles & scrub back & forth with my hands for awhile. Then, I leave the bristles to soak for 15 minutes. I pour out the basin & add fresh water then repeat scrubbing back & forth to remove soap. Finally, I set the brush, bristles down, on a towel to dry naturally. Take special care so you don't get any of the handle/wood wet.

This brush looks good and brushes my hair perfectly, and it feels good doing so.

Let's start with the fact I do realize it is a soft bristle brush. I did not expect it to be like baby hair soft, I expected it to be for adults. Usually when I buy bristle brushes they are at least slightly firm. This one is not Not even a little bit. I have long fairly unruly thick wavy to curly hair. My other half has fairly fine thinner hair (not 5hinning just thinner hair follicles lol). If I use couple leave in conditioners and brush it fully first then this brush will at best put a slight shine or sheen to my hair but it will only go surface deep NO MATTER WHAT I DO. For him even with as fine as his hair is it cannot go deeper then the top or outer surface of his hair. Again at best gives it a shine at least a little bit of one, because it's so fine it works okay for his hair After it has been brushed thoroughly. It cant brush out knots or lay down uneven or out of control curls. It does nothing a brush should do, nothing I buy brushes for. Maybe it will be okay for my 2 year old granddaughter who have very very fine hair (like my daughter at that age reminds me of precious moments dolls hair) or her 1 year old brother though his is thicker so not for long. It should not be being sold as an adult product but instead as super soft and gentle for baby. Or for an elderly person whose hair has become thin and brittle so it needs something gentle and super soft. Wouldve been great when I lived with and took care of my grandmother many years ago. But for me and even my daughter and other half Not useful at all.

You can't go wrong with Diane brushes. The saying you get what you pay for doesn't apply to these brushes at all, you're getting 15-25 dollar quality for a few bucks! First let me start with the benefits of the 100% boar bristles. This brush will make you hair extremely soft and shiny. I didn't see it the first time I used it like some people but I've had this brush for about a month now and I can definitely tell a major difference when using it. I brush with my Diane hard brush 8159, then my Diane 8119, and I finish with this 8169. When I run my hand through my hair after using this brush it feels silky smooth, it lays my hair down, and I see some added shine! If you're trying to get waves you HAVE to get this brush, besides all the benefits I've already mentioned it will help to connect your waves so you can get 360s. Another thing I like about this brush is that it's a softee but the bristles are placed firmly in the wood so it feels soft but sturdy at the same time, it's hard to explain but it feels great on your head. Some of the bristles may fall out the first couple of days you use it but that has been the case for almost every brush I've ever purchased. After the first couple of days though the shedding stops completely. This is the perfect soft brush BUY IT!

Brush was softer than last one. It’s nice but too soft, just glides along the top hairs of my head. My husband will use it for his mustache.
