Great antennas for tri-band radios
If you still have your rubber ducky antenna, or dummy load, get one of these and you will be amazed at how much better you can work local repeaters and simplex.

Low SWR on all bands
I put this on a multi band HT. It is not too big and works better than the original rubber ducky. Probably adds 50% to the range. Tested good with an MFJ analyzer. Reaches a local repeater where the duck would not.

The antenna does not work for my radio
I originally bought this antenna for yaesu f2d2r so I would get better reception. The problem with this antenna on the radio is is practically deaf it doesn't hear repeaters that are less than 5 mi away which I can hit on a commet antenna that's a little bit longer and have full quieting. I don't know if I got a defective one or not but I wouldn't recommend this particular antenna for anything because it doesn't hear stations that are literally blocks away.

Better than OEM, but fragile.
Was looking to purchase another Diamond SRH320A for one of our TH-F6a's but all sources showed as out of stock so I bought two of these as one I had been using was working well aside from a sharp bend after a hiking mishap. Unfortunately, in less than a week, one failed - Note, the vendor was very helpful. responded promptly and resolved the issue but the Comet HT-224 is an OK, antenna to replace the OEM Kenwood TH-F6a, but can bend or break easily.

Fits on a Baofeng
-ish. Though not out of the box, BUT, for about $4 and a few minutes, you can have a radio that will look decent, not like something thrown together with spare parts (I too, see the humor in the latter part of this statement).Start with an SMA, F-F barrel connector. Next, hit up the plumbing section in your favorite home improvement store, and find the display for replacement seals. Look for beveled washers. There are numerous options for the outside diameter, so choose the one that best fits your radio. Bring the radio along and test fit if needed.Back at the shack - Start by opening up the hole in the washer so the SMA barrel connector can pass through it. Don't go too large, or the washer will slip over the antenna and fall off. I used a 5/16" drill. Next, use a razor knife to remove the bulk of the "inside" of the washer. This step will take a few test fits to get right; removing material as needed to achieve the desired fit. What you should have at the end is a small bowl with a hole at the bottom.Once complete, put all the pieces together. You now have a radio that looks like it is supposed to be that way.----As for the antenna itself, it does what it is supposed to do. It's not as long as the Nagoya tri-bander. It is also more rigid. Yes, it flexes like a rubber duck is supposed to, but there is a substantial spring back, so it returns straight and with authority. No floppy duck.Measured SWR on the 3 bands:2m - 1.71.25m - 1.470cm - 1.1Though, I do feel funny putting a $45 antenna on a $25 radio...73

Works-Adjust length for area of interest.
Bought this to replace stock antenna on my Icom IC-R20. For a telescoping antenna it works well. Works best when you adjust the length for area of interest. Only Problem I had was the joint was loose at one point but this was a minor problem that was easy to fix if you are handy with a screwdriver.
