Fit is excellent, but the fuselage benefits from being held tightly together by a rubber band or similar device while the cement cures. A file is your friend on some occasions to give yourself a little more wiggle room for inserting parts into their slots - dry fitting makes it abundantly clear which parts these are.

No better 1/72 scale injection molded model of this important late-war IJN fighter exists. Parts are virtually flash free, with minimal adjustments for fit. Cockpit detail is quite good. Pay careful attention to painting small parts and fit of landing gear, engine, exhausts and cowling. Excellent decals. Be careful with the yellow wing "friend-or-foe" identification panels. Be sure to compare instructions with assembly sketches!!!
