Just had to own a piece of history from this boy band!

This is THE BEST of the best albums I've ever had the pleasure of purchasing and listening to. Besides the fact that the beats and lyrics of pretty much every song on this album doesn't resemble the 1D from the past (I love that they're experimenting and trying new things), it's also quite evident that they put their entire heart and soul into this album and worked extremely hard on it so their fans could receive the absolute best... And that, they did. After all, it rarely ever happens that the moment I hear a new song, I fall immediately in love with it without any hesitation. And, even less than that, does it occur that I adore EVERY SINGLE SONG any one album has to offer... More than necessary do I find myself skipping songs I don't find any connection to or likeness for, but, with Four, I listen to every song until the end without being forced to; I do it because I want to and because I LOVE the songs. So, thank you, 1D, for creating an album I truly appreciate and enjoy. One that has found me in a state of pure bliss, as a result of its songs' components. I'll listen to this album for more than an eternity, and I suggest you do the same. I can't guarantee you'll feel the same things I feel, when listing to these wonders, but what I DO guarantee is that at least ONE of these songs will have you smiling, listening to it on repeat, and not even regretting the fact that it's impossible to get out of your head.

Directioner must have.

I have been a 1D fan since I heard "Live While We're Young" on the radio. I have enjoyed watching them grow over the years not just physically, but through their music. As my review of their last album, Midnight Memories states, I enjoy the edgier, more adult sounding 1D. Not many boy bands can evolve past the cheesy bubblegum pop stage...but One Direction has. This album, picks up where MM left off with a more mature sound...more rock and folk influences. 15 of the 16 tracks were written by the band, the exception being "18" which was written by the incomparable Ed Sheeran. As with the previous albums, I was hooked after one listen. I've had this album for 4 months now and I have just now chosen a favorite song. Usually after one listen of an album, I find one song I really like and stick with it...but with this album, it was so hard to choose a favorite; they're all so good! Night Changes is the best, though, at least in my opinion. I can easily say that this is the best One Direction album yet. After finishing this album, I was so excited to read online that the lads were already working on their next album. But with Zayn's recent departure, I am kind of holding onto the albums we have so far. I am glad that he stayed through this album, it would not have been the same without him. It has been an amazing 5 years since 1D was formed, and after 4 amazing albums, they're still going strong.

If I thought Midnight Memories was a great album, then Four has blown my mind entirely! These 5 amazing young men have worked so hard and matured so much musically and it shows on this album. They are now more involved than ever with the song writing and I respect that they are changing the game and breaking the mold for boy groups. They have left that stereo type of boy band bubble gum pop and have created a masterpiece of wonderful songs that would appeal to any adult who loves great music. I am an older fan, over my 30's to be exact but I have no shame in admitting that I love this group and their music. I have seen them in concert on several occasions and you can see the passion when they perform. This is their love and it's not just a job or requirement. I do not have a favorite song because ALL the songs are simply magnificent on this album and I sincerely hope that people will give them a chance and listen to this. It is easily one of the best albums of this year. These young men should be so proud of all their hard work on this album. When it comes to raising the bar they never disappoint and they have come a long way from Up All Night.
