I bought this battery to replace the original one that died after two years of use. I was skeptical at first, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it works. The seller failed to mention that this is not a plug and play install by far. It’s not installed into secluded location where you do not have to come in contact with other internal parts. Once you open the case, the battery is in full display from left to right, but to get the battery out of its glued in position will take not only prying it out but uncovering the battery cable connector from other internal parts. You have to gut out your device to install this part in a Macbook Pro. The part does not come with instructions and there is no guide for the dozens of micro size screws you will need to remove. It only has a warning form. You will lose a third of the screws or forget from where you removed them. This is for an installer who has lots of experience and small tools for the kind of project. You may want to consider if a renewed replacement is better than tackling this replacement project. There is not even any YouTube clips showing you how to do this install- well maybe one buts its from a guy who obviously has a shop, experience, and may a be professional.

Installation was straightforward. Battery doesn’t hold a charge like it should.
