The Complete After Series Collection 5 Books Box Set by Anna Todd (After Ever Happy, After, After We Collided, After We Fell, Before)

I absolutely love this series! I read the books first and then watched the movie, but honestly, I prefer the books. There's so much more detail and depth to the story that really draws you in. If you love a good love story, you can’t go wrong with this one. Highly recommend both the books and the movie, but the books are definitely where it’s at!

I am only about 1/4 of the way through the first book but I have seen all the movies. So far the first book is very similar to the movie, which I like! There is more detail in the book and it’s not as graphic as the movies but still very similar to the movie. If you’ve seen the movie the books are still 100% worth reading. If you haven’t seen the movies, read the books and you will love the movies! I cannot put the first book down! I promise if you are in for a spicy love story, these books are for you!

Great book series

To say these books were wonderful, is an understatement. I read all 5 books in 5 days, I was sucked in and spent every moment of free time I had reading. I stayed up way later than I should have, but I could put it down.Ignore all of those saying that they’re in an abusive relationship and that we should not idolize it. I’ve been in plenty of abusive relationships, and yes at times Hardin and Tessa’s was unhealthy, but who's isn’t? I think this is the most well written novel series i’ve ever read about what it’s like to be in love in real life. every young adult NEEDS to read this. it’s not all fun and games, it’s putting your rain boots on and walking through some real muddy times, and Hardin and Tessa’s relationship does just that. Todd does a wonderful job developing these characters and by the end of the series, I felt like I knew them in real life. When I turned that last page, my heart longed for more, it felt like I was loosing close friends. This is a series I will forever read over and over again. I’m so grateful for the lessons i’ve learned through experiencing their story, and i’m thrilled that they’ve started to create this series into movies. I don’t think they could ever do these books justice, though!

I came across the movie After and watched it. I liked it. I was unaware of the book series. I bought the books because I wanted to know what happens next. I was not prepared for how completely different the books and characters are from the movie. They "dumbed down" the movie and rated it PG. They changed many things, some I don't know why. The books are definitely R content. Lots of sex, and quite graphic. When Hardin was asked in the movie who he loved most in the world by Tessa, he said himself. Hardin didn't love himself. He hated himself and everyone else. He was verbally abusive, violent, mean and said things to hurt others intentionally. He had no filter and used the "F" word and many others constantly. He was horrible to Tessa. She was portrayed as a meek, shy, baggy clothed young woman. I found the books hard to put down at times and hard to pick up and read other times. Their journey was long and complicated. I read a review that stated in it that no one should go through the process that this couple goes through. I disagree. They loved each other deeply, but Hardin didn't really know how to love anyone. And with good reason. He should have gotten help when he was a child after experiencing a very traumatic situation involving his mother and other situations in his life. Tessa was a strong woman who eventually separated herself from Hardin until he was able to get help and become a functioning human being. If they had not fallen for each other, Hardin would probably be the same person. He was extremely intelligent and a very talented writer. It took many years for them to finally come together in a healthy love. I suffer from PTSD, and found myself becoming full of anxiety at times. I can't imagine the next movie, which is rated R. Hardin was likable in the movie, despite the "Bet". All of a sudden he's going to become an unlikable person. Looking forward to seeing next movie based on second book. I gave the book series 5 stars because even though it was a tough read, emotionally, isn't that what good writing is all about. I went through every emotion reading this series.

I love the books. They arrive in such a good quality. It only bad side is that I sacrifice a lot of sleep reading because they were so good!! I read in like a three weeks because of finals!
